This review is about King's College London which is a public research university and located in London. It was adream come true to finally see and visit this place while spending time with family in the UK. With bit research I found that the College is selective, which means in every few hundred few get selected. It’s one of the most prestigious faculties of its kind, it was ranked 6th in the UK. The College is open to tourists, local visitors and students and this is how they make extra money. The place is very old and looks like less maintenance been carried over the years to upgrade & modernize the College. Kings has a particularly distinguished reputation in the humanities, law, the sciences and all the things you see around as you walk is very evident. King's College London holds a Student Visa license issued by UKVI that allows to bring overseas students into the UK to study, so most of the overseas students on a programme of 6 months or more will need this visa and its quite expensive. There is a lot to see at the campus like the Chapel, Roman Bath & The Vault. I wished if the college was more open to welcome other students of all walks of life.

I studied at King's College London for five years. When I was a master's student, my dissertation was wrongly accused of academic misconduct for no reason. I have no fault whatsoever. But the score for the dissertation was inexplicably downgraded. The master's experience was really bad and disgusting. Endless strikes, unfair grading, indifferent staff. As a result of attending this university, I suffered a lot psychologically. KCL was not like this 5 years ago. Not recommended now. It hurts to see my alma mater deteriorate. But it must be scored low. I would give it the lowest rating on the graduate questionnaire survey. Just like you can't do justice to my dissertation.

I had some of the best lectures. Always felt encouraged and supported. The library was great. The ambiance at the institution felt right. It was a great experience and I met some really nice people. I would study here again. There could be more in the repertoire of post-graduate courses but it’s a brilliant institution with excellent links nonetheless.

The history department, especially the new head, is very rude and unhelpful. Another cash cow university to attract international students with mediocre standard of teaching, rude staff, unhelpful professors who are always striking and almost never respond to emails and when you email them again they get very rude - how dare you disturb them. Extremely wealthy university that can’t pay their staff properly which leads to continuous strike actions and missed lectures and seminars. No compensation of course £30k in debt for this ridiculous experience and standard of teaching. Some professors I had were really good and I will undoubtedly cherish everything they’ve taught me. However, the way the department is run just ruins the experience for the student. In the end, they don’t care about you and your well being. You’re just cash for the institution and that’s about it. Don’t have very high hopes about this university. Wasn’t my first choice and rightfully so. ***this university keeps getting worse and worse - was told today at maughan library that I can’t use the PCs as an alumni! What can I do as an alumni? Regret my choice to study at kings????? USELESS

I studied law here for a few months before I dropped out (to pursue a different degree). From what I could tell the lecturers are really qualified and good at what they do. The law department was well organised but I have heard that some other departments are an admin nightmare. The welfare team were really supportive and game me great advice when I needed it. My academic tutor at the time was also lovely. The people make the place for sure.

Never would I have thought that an institution (which somehow claims to be renowned) lies to its students, steals their money and wastes their time. Absolutely no care for students. They cut off all my student finance in the middle of the semester and refused to give me my bursary, and almost left me to starve and unable to pay rent, and still wouldn’t help me, and kept threatening me with legal action to pay my rent. Feels more like a scam than what they advertise as a ‘student experience’. Lectures are cheaply made PowerPoints that can be found on Google. Half the time there aren’t even lectures anyway because of strikes, as this ultra wealthy university refuses to pay its staff a decent wage. Not to mention the wokeness - white staff here aren’t even allowed to take part in tai chi classes. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

I went for a campus visit. Infrastructure is decent. Students gave mixed reviews. Jobs after studies is a major concern. A consultancy firm was doing an activity on campus to let them understand careers in consulting. Security is pretty good. Cafe and tuck shop both are expensive .
